What is a plugin?

A plugin is a small feature you can enable in Pear Desktop. Each plugin does one job, such as blocking ads. Open the Plugins menu and enable the ones you want.

How to listen to ad-free music?

Open the Plugins menu, find the option called "Do Not Track" and turn it on. Also, enable the SponsorBlock plugin to skip sponsored segments in songs and videos.

What Linux distributions are supported?

Pear Desktop runs on almost every modern Linux distribution, including Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pop OS, Fedora, openSUSE and Arch Linux. It ships as AppImage, deb, rpm, snap, flatpak and a plain tarball, so you can pick the format your system likes.

Is Pear Desktop free?

On Windows, should I pick the installer or the portable file?

Pick the installer if you want a normal setup that adds Pear Desktop to your Start menu and keeps it updated. Pick the portable file if you want to run the app straight from it without installing anything, for example, from a USB drive.
